Grace in this place

I am still in the hospital.
My WBC fell low yesterday but I am getting rest and care everyday (GRACE) and hope to go home tomorrow.
My oncologist decided not to give me a shot that would boost the white cells after my first chemo. That was a mistake, and now I will receive the shot after each of the five remaining.
Thank you for praying...please continue.
~Blessings & love~ Lisa

My counts are normal and there are no infections anywhere, but because I had a slight temperature last night, I have to stay one more night. Doc says I have to have a normal temperature for 24 hours before they let me go home.
Thanks for all your prayers!
Jeff says Buddy has been sleeping on my pillow in bed next to him every night.

  1. Still praying Lisa. So glad you are receiving the care you need. A little extra rest and pampering never hurts either!
Love you my friend. Feel better.

  2. Until you say you are healed my prayers will be with you.

  3. Praying you through this, love you so very much.

  4. Hi Lisa,
I have been away from the computer but I have been praying for you as Father has led. Praying that your WBC comes up where it needs to be and that while you are in the hospital you will find rest, peace and love.

Standing with you friend, covering you often. :)

  5. I am glad the mistake will be put right, Lisa.
I hope you feel very supported right now, and I have prayed for blessings on you this morning.
I liked your post about the write so well, and are really finding your unique writing 'voice'...
    Love x

  6. Hi Lisa,
lovely to hear that you are getting rest and good care. Our times are in God's hands and He is well able to bring you through this. May He bless you with perfect healing.

  7. Sending you love and hope you are able to return home today. xxx

  8. Lovely to hear your update Lisa, no infections, and I am sure your temperature will soon be normal. Isn't it lovely how Buddy is keeping your pillow warm until you return home. I think the love of animals is beautiful.xx

  9. Lisa, hugs and prayers. So happy to hear about the positive update. Can't wait until you're home again. Sounds like Buddy is anxious, too.

Praying, dear one, that God will continue to strengthen your tired body, and uplift and uphold your heart.

  10. Praise God for the positive update. Great news. Will be praying for a normal temp. Sounds like
Buddy is anxious to have you home and keeping Jeff company until then. Our four legged kids are so much comfort to us! Rest well.

  11. I'm praying for you, my sweet, brave, courageous, lovely and Godly friend.

  12. Praying for you, Lisa - for healthy temperatures and restful sleep!

  13. Hi Lisa, it is good to hear your update, it sounds as if you are getting good medical care from your doctor and hospital. It won't be long and you will be sleeping in your own bed. I am keeping you in my prayers. Thank you for sharing and being so honest about your feelings.Being honest in the face of illness is a priceless gift to give to family and friends. It is true that sometimes there may be fear in people's eyes, but those same eyes are also at the same time seeing: courage and faith under trial, and so many other things by how you are choosing to live through this experience. Your endurance in the face of illness, may be used to witness to the hearts of others about God's love in ways you may never imagine, and all you have to do is just be yourself. So many of us have had our own lives or those of our loved ones touched by cancer, so always remember that you are loved and not alone. And I so appreciate your decision to keep communicating. With Love, Delisa

  14. so glad to hear that you will soon be given your release papers and will be able to go back home. So sweet of Buddy... love...
