Surgery Next Week!

Just got home from the appointment with my surgeon.

I have the most common form of breast cancer, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.

I had chest x-rays and blood work done today.

This type is aggressive so we are being aggressive!

I will be undergoing a double Mastectomy on December 26th.

Pray that it has not spread to the lymph nodes...It has already began to invade breast tissue.

I told the surgeon that his job is to get it the H#LL out of me, and I will do the rest!

I will need chemotherapy...but probably not radiation...Standard is 6 months of Chemo.

Just when I finally got a hair-cut that I really like!

My surgeon answered all of our questions, and even offered to go along with us if we wanted to get a second opinion.

Thank you so much for your prayers…There is power in prayer.

Thanks to Brenda for leading me to this scripture:

The joy of the Lord is my strength…It got me through so far when I put it together with…In His presence is fullness of joy…the joy of the Lord is my strength…Jesus said: My strength is made perfect in weakness!

And thanks to my dear friend Deb who prayed with me over the phone this morning…God does not do anything part way…He does a perfect job every time.

Blessings & Love,

And remember, we are…

Lisa, I wish I could hug you. (((Hugs)))
Praying for you and Jeff and for your surgeon. Praying they remove all of the cancer and that it has not spread.
Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

I love the verses Brenda gave you and I will pray them over you often.

Walking beside you in prayer, lifting you up to our God.

Lisa, my heart goes out to you...I'm praying.
It was brave of you to share this, and because you have, we will be there for you.... if and when sharing helps a little. Your attitude is good! I hope the operation will see this gone for good.

A poem that the Lord gave me in one of my trials has come into my mind and also a scripture that He gave me to accompany it. I pray that all fear will be cast out of your situation by God's perfect love and that He will rid your body of all cancer.
Do not worry, do not fear, let your heart be still
for who on earth of mortal man can always know God's will
but this we know who worship Him - by faith shall live the just
for then we see the power of the One in whom we trust
'You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon You, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord Forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.' Isaiah ch.26 vs.3,4.
God bless you Lisa xxx

A thousand thank you's are not enough to express my heartful of gratitude to my dear friends who are praying, and sharing scripture with me!
Brenda, those scriptures are only confirmation of what the Lord has been telling me since day one of this!

I have to Praise Jesus today....My x-ray and bloodwork came back...everything is normal including liver function and clear chest...This is big since this cancer usually goes after the liver...and into the chest wall!
I was so worried about that because I saw my chest x-ray and thought I saw spots on it (when I had it done)...and so I called the doctor today and they checked everything for me. This has eased my mind, and I am ready to go forward again!
Jesus still has me safe in His embrace...sometimes He carries me.
Blessings & Love!
I will keep you in the comments section.
I promise I won't make this blog all about cancer...It is all about Jesus and me!

You can ask for prayer for this upcoming surgery and recovery...I don't know everything there is to know about the cancer yet until after surgery...But I would appreciate all the prayer I can get!
I am blessed by my family and friends and I would appreciate prayer for them as well...It isn't easy for them either...So grateful for your warrior spirit, my friend!

This verse has helped me quite a bit.
17 The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing
(Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV)

I'm so sorry Lisa. I will pray for you. You are very dear to me. May God bless you abundantly!

Hoping for your recovery. Just trust in the Lord sis. May Gods perfect peace, perfect strength, grace and mercy be supplied to you. You will be okay. God is faithful. Has He not show you this? :-)

Words of Comfort.

"I will lift up my eyes to the hills
From whence comes my help?
(My help comes from the Lord),
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
(He who keeps you will not slumber.)
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
(The Lord is your keeper;)
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
(He shall preserve your soul).
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore." Psalm 121:1-8.

Thank you my lovely sisters...
Met again with my surgeon. When he looked over the blood work and x-ray today, he said:
"We never see this...Your blood work is normal...everything is so good...chest, liver and stomach (on x-ray) nice and clear."
My blood pressure was 110/80...I thought it would be super high.
He explained the procedure to me a bit more, and when he finished I said I just don't wanna hear anything gory...He said "You just did." The nurse was cracking up laughing...I said well, I meant I don't want to see anything...He assured me I would be very much asleep and wouldn't see anything.
I told my nurse that we've (Jeff and I ) had been having our ups and downs throughout the week, but the anchor still holds!
I have assigned family and friends certain things that they can do to help me get through the chemo...My friend Deb will supply me with fresh garden herbs, and eggs from her chickens; (both said to help through chemo) Daughter Sarah will go with me to treatments and help with my makeup (She studies makeup, it is her passion); And everyone is assigned the task of delivering Gods Word to me as you are moved to...This is paramount, as I may not always feel up to studying myself.
I asked Jesus what I was to do with this...was I to study more, witness more...and He seemed to clearly answer that I have walked with him so far, and now He twill carry me for awhile...I am to do nothing but let Him.
My life will be a witness to His amazing grace and glory!
I may get weak...He will remain always strong.

Hi Lisa- I wanted to share a song with you by Nicole C. Mullen My Redeemer Lives Nicole C Mullen. My most terrifying moment was having to drive home after the NYC bombing on 9-11. Nicole released this song right around that time. I made it home safe, I was sheltered by God in the storm. Praying you will be sheltered by Angel wings too : ) Love you!
