God's grace shines all around us

John 15:13  "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
The sun is shining!  Memorial weekend has come to our neck of the woods, and our little town has doubled in population ...We are thankful that last week's rain has made it safe for people to enjoy their campfires...and our flowers survived the cold night.
The weather is perfect~ cool with clear blue skies...Everything looks so lush and green now.

Garage sale signs are on every corner, but we are staying home and enjoying the long weekend. My low energy level keeps me from doing much walking, but it is good medicine for now to just sit in the sunlight and be nourished.

...He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
 he refreshes my soul.

God's grace shines all around us...

And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:16-17
I pray you all enjoy a peaceful weekend...
And To my friends in the US:  ~Happy Memorial Day~
Stay safe, and God bless everybody!

Yes Gods love does shine all around, and you have passed it on with this lovely reminder. We tend to take it all for granted.. Love this...

I think weekends deserve a good amount of rest. Next weekend is our town wide garage sale. I may wander around then but we are definitely not having a sale of our own this year.

Have a lovely weekend!

Lisa, I hope you have a lovely Memorial Day weekend. I also am enjoying times of just sitting and resting and watching all of God's creation that surrounds me. I can't think of a better way to enjoy the holiday weekend. Happy Memorial Day to you and your family.

flowers are such beauty to gaze at; sometimes I can find myself lost in a day to be in God's nature!! I daydream about the promise of God's new heaven and earth- such splender to come:)

Me too, staying in this Sunday & Monday minus a nature walk, tee hee.

God Bless you Lisa, and I've really enjoyed to be blessed with our bloggy-friendship.

Rest dear friend:)

Hi Lisa,
that is what weekends are for, relaxing and enjoying yourself in your lovely surroundings. Sometimes God will cause us to rest in Him and the scriptures you have put on your post are perfect scriptures to encourage us to just drink in the Lord and His creation. You are very blessed to be in such a lovely place surrounded by beautiful flowers and nature. God bless you and all included in Memorial weekend. It is bank holiday here in Wales.

Sometimes I fail to realize that part of the 23rd Psalm is that one line:

"He makes me lie down in green pastures..."

The Good Shepherd knows our tendency to rush around and tire ourselves out needlessly. I'm glad that sometimes He steps in and *makes* me lie down!

GOD BLESS!
