April showers!

Garden pond
Keeping the birds in suet!
Still falling!
Flower bed

I had to cancel my dental appointment this morning. Jeff was called into work to help plow the roadways at 3:a.m. this morning!
And it is still coming down…steadily. The poor robin was back tapping, albeit very slowly and intermittently, at the window this morning until I placed an eagle statue in the window (Thanks for the idea Child of God!)

Here is a flashback from last May…

…I guess it is still early, plenty of time left for those buds to start appearing!

But I will hope continually,
and will yet praise thee more and more

If April showers bring May flowers…
Do April SNOW showers count?

WoW what a difference a year makes....I would say snow showers count...but the cold that is with it...not so sure.

Same weather here Lisa. When I awoke and saw the snow, just wanted to crawl back in bed and cover up my head. Oh well, when everyone else will be complaining about the heat, we'll be nice and cool.

Hi Dee,
You are probably right about the cold! It was so warm this time last year that everything bloomed too early, and then a late frost killed a lot.

Hi jane,
I know what you mean...I wanted to do the same. The dogs both went back to bed and stayed there much of the day!

Wow oh Wow oh Wow!!!
Snow showers in April- such beautiful pictures!!!
Here in Florida I can't imagine it!! It's hot and sticky:)
But with the odd weather it's been cold then hot , cold then hot... and it's messed with some of my flower's budding. Especially camellia flowers- only one little bloom made it this year:)
Blessing to you!!

Hi Deanna,
Your reaction made me smile! I'm sorry to hear about your camellia flowers. Last year that happened in Michigan, and Traverse City went into full panic mode because they lost so much of their cherries to frost after an early bloom and they had to order cherries from elsewhere for their famous cherry festival! So, in a way I am thankful there were no buds yet when this cold snap came along.

Lisa, snow showers bring welcoming spring days that are bright and sunny and filled with new life.

Praise God, the weather here in Tennessee is awesome.

Oh Lisa, it has been a long winter hasn't it? Even though it is officially spring it seems to be taking forever to warm up, blossom, and bloom! Thankfully our days are getting longer, and I know it's just around the corner! :)

Love your beautiful pics!
Have a joy-filled week,

Hi Mrs. R,

Thank you for your encouragement...It finally stopped snowing today and the sun is shining. I'm sure the snow will soon wash away with the next rain :)

Hi Denise,
I hope you are able to get out and enjoy the wonderful weather there!

I'll take the May picture! My nephew is a missionary in South Dakota and they had to cancel their services today. They had the biggest snow of the season! I think the weather man misplaced the April calender! But we'll sure enjoy Spring when it comes.

I know it's hard to believe! I hope it's warm where you are :)

Hi Pamela,
Yes, I prefer the May picture as well! It is warming up for today, but next week they say it will be back into the 40's...My daughter lives in Indiana, and they had more snow than ever at the beginnning of April; she said it was in the 80's this time last year...Ah well, God is still in control! ~God bless~ Lisa

Hi Lisa,
Glad the eagle stopped little robin from aimlessly pecking. What beautiful pictures, and I love lilac. We have had a delayed Spring here in Wales. Lots of rain, below zero temperature and frost and snow, but it is only now that the leaves are starting to open up. God's creation is amazing in it's wisdom. God bless

Hi Brenda,
It sounds like the climate in Wales is similar to that of Northern Michigan! Is that normal for your region?

I am glad that our leaves and other blooms are not opened yet since the freezing cold would likely kill them like last year...Our part of the state depends quite heavily on its apple and cherry crops.
Yes, God is amazing, and His Word says He can be seen/known by watching His creation...We are blessed to be surrounded by so much of it here! ~God bless~

No Lisa, it is not normal for this time of year. Usually in April the weather would be a few showers but fairly moderate temperatures. The buds would be far more advanced than they have been.
