December Sky

CIMG0183
As I sit on the floor of my bedroom I glance out the window. The clouds are heavy and they try  to veil the sun.
In the stillness below it is hard to tell if the clouds are moving, but when I look up higher, above the tall trees…I can see them slightly swaying as the clouds move ever so slowly.
CIMG0182
The sun is always shining.
Although it seems like nothing is happening down here below…The wind is actively moving high above the trees..invisible yet evident in it’s effects on them and on the clouds above them…We have only to look up…Look higher up.
When you ask God where He is, or what He is doing because it doesn’t seem like He is very active in your mortal life down here below right now, perhaps you are required to look higher up…Look above your circumstances here on earth, and seek Him more in the place where your treasures are stored…He is active there on your behalf…sending His angels to and fro to carry your prayers and administer to your needs…He catches your tears in His bottle, and prepares a place for you …there…Higher above the trees and the clouds where the Son is always shining.

Psalm 56:8 (KJV) put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

This was so inspirational! Look higher up...yes!

You know, when I've flown in an airplane, I've always been amazed to find out that the sun indeed is ALWAYS shining! Sometimes it can't be found until you get above the clouds - just like life.

The SON is always shining!

GOD BLESS!

Hi Sharon,

I have never flown!
But that is about to change this summer when we must fly to Nevada for our daughter's wedding!
My husband tells me how beautiful (and majestic) it is there above the clouds too.
I am looking forward to seeing it for myself!

Hi Lisa,
Sometimes it feels like we pray and pray and nothing happens but that is not what Scripture tells us. Our prayers Revelation 8:3-5 And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings,a flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
I love reading these verses, they give me a lot of strength to keep on praying even when I don't hear from Father.
We need to look up and I love how you say that even though things are very still down here if we look high enough, usually we can see the tops of the trees swaying or see the clouds moving along. God is always active.

Blessings hon,
<><

It really is a sight to behold. And when I start to feel nervous, I just remind myself that I might be just a little closer to God in heaven!! :-)

Ah yes, I thought of that scripture as I was writing this today.
Sometimes it feels as if we are in a sound proof/ black booth...so unaware of all the activity around us...How busy the angels are...if only we knew!
Scripture paints the best pictures for now until we see for ourselves one day.
I imagine our Father talking to us, always waiting for us to hear...and then smiling when we begin to respond in that conversation with Him :D

Hi Lisa ~ When I read this part of your post it was exactly what I needed for this moment in time.

He is very active in your mortal life down here below right now, perhaps you are required to look higher up…Look above your circumstances here on earth, and seek Him more in the place where your treasures are stored…He is active there on your behalf…sending His angels to and fro to carry your prayers and administer to your needs…He catches your tears in His bottle, and prepares a place for you …there…Higher above the trees and the clouds where the Son is always shining.

Thank you for sharing this.

Blessings and love to you friend....Chelle

Oh, my, Lisa, what a great and poetic post.
I am sure that the Lord IS catching your tears and your SMILES, in fact he shares them every moment. But must to allow things, sometimes not to our liking. He brings comfort for these times, and strength.
You are right to 'see' God's message in the way the trees and the sky speak to you...He can communicate in many ways, and I believe puts the moment of inspiration there inside you in the first place. It is all His beautiful, spontaneous, creative grace and we are so blessed to know it.

Hi Lisa,
'But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.' (Isaiah ch. 40 v.31.). The eagle always soars above the clouds and there is beautiful encouragement in this verse for us when we need our strength renewing. The clouds are only in 'our world', not in God's.
God bless you
