Perfect Love

Perfect love...

Our three granddaughters last year
'Perfect Love'

                                      ...Casts out...

Our three granddaughters last Easter
Why do we put our kids through this? LOL!

                                         ...All fear!

Our oldest granddaughter (next to the bear)
Her classmate maybe has a future in acting?
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

Those who have the Holy Spirit in them have no reason to fear at all! Praise God! For the wrath of God will not touch the believers of Jesus Christ. Amen!

LOL, Thanks, you made my day! I was only 17 when I married and 18 when I had my oldest...It's been 30 years with the love of my life! But I would not recommend growing up so fast like I did!

So glad to have you here~ I will be looking forward to visiting!
Yes, I think often of the scripture that tells us to be as little children in our faith...they are so trusting...and we make them sit on the Easter bunny's lap and all sorts of things that, LOL!

    1. Hi Susie,
Yes, I thought that scripture quite fitting. Unfortunately I am far away from this perfect love since I allow fear to reign far too often!

  8. Hi Lisa,
I just wanted to let you know that the bill passed. :( Now it needs to go to the next level. Praying it doesn't go any further.

    1. Hi COG,
I am sickened by this news...I watched "the O'reilly factor" last night, and they were talking about how Christian persecution is on the rise in our nation, just like in Canada; and once we become more secular, we become poor like the European nations who have allowed secular humanity to replace Judeo~ Christian traditions...They blamed it on Christians (and Jews) who keep their heads low and hide away from fear of standing up for their faith...I think they are right...And I think it is time to press in with prayer for the US, Canada, and the UK as well!
We know through Bible prophecy that the whole world will become secular to the point of Christianity being illegal someday...and we (as a group) seem to be willingly going along with it. I pray for strength to fight with a prayer warrior spirit for our safety and that more homosexuals will see their sin, and repent even when their government supports their sin and tells them they are special because of it!
My husband said exactly what I did when I heard about that bill in Canada..."So a guy can just walk into a ladies restroom because he says he is gay and do whatever he pleases to the women in there?!" My advice to you dear sister, is if this bill goes further...I would refuse to use the restrooms or sauna in any businesses, and then maybe women will protest enough that they will rescind the bill for fear of losing business? Or has our society fallen in such love with the homosexual, that they believe they are harmless?
      ~Still praying~

    2. Yea, it is pretty sad and I agree we need to really press in with prayer and for Christians to stand up for God and His way.

The scenario that could unfold can be scary, especially when I start thinking of pedophiles. How can we protect the children? If we aren't already, then soon we will be worse than Sodom and Gomorrah.

I agree, prayer for Christians all over North America and UK.

      Blessings hon,

    1. Hi Dee,

Thanks~ Yes, I sometimes miss when my three girls were those ages! (although they were further apart in age)
But, it is nice to be able to 'visit' with them instead of live with them fulltime (don't think I could handle all that drama now, LOL).~Save the drama for the mama I say!~

  11. Hi Lisa,
beautiful grandchildren. I was just 18 when I got married and had our son at 19. It has been a wonderful 47 years and knowing Jesus, and His perfect love, over the past 31 years has made it even more wonderful. God bless you and your family.

    1. Hi Brenda,
A few years ago my brother in law was in the hospital and the Pastor who married us was there...He was delighted to see that we were still married, especially as he remembered how young we were! I told him he musta done it right because we stuck! Though we both know it is the Lord who has kept us together...We were not born again when we were married, but soon after! I almost gave up on our marriage before I knew the Lord (perfect love)...That made all the difference!
      ~God bless~

    2. Yes Lisa,
the seventeen years before I was born again were a time when I could easily have wrecked my marriage, then the Lord entered my life. However I include those years as part of my wonderful marriage because they have given me empathy with worldly trials within marriage and so I have sympathy with people in the same situation. How could we pray for others unless we understand what they are feeling and the trials they go through in this world. God bless.

    3. I understand completely Brenda, He loved us while we were yet sinners, and God knew when each of us would come to Him, and was busy shaping our lives even then...It is empathy that makes us able to relate to people who are going through a time when it seems there is no hope especially before they know the Lord...I find it hard to listen to a pastor or teacher who has no idea what life as an unbeliever is really like...they have Godly wisdom but lack empathy, which only comes from experience.
      ~God bless, and have a wonderful weekend/week~
