Let the trees of the forest sing, let them sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. 1 Chronicles 16:33

It'll open in a new window so you can continue reading while you listen to the song if you'd like.
A couple nights ago I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep..something that seems to be a challenge these days since chemo has somehow disrupted my melatonin production these last several months.
(Despite trying pretty much everything I've ever heard to do)
Well, that night as I lay there praying, I started humming then softly singing this song..and yes, I slept very peacefully through the night afterwards!
Now, let me ask you something..
Do you believe the words of God?
What if God tells you ...
[I AM]The Lord your God in your midst,
[ I AM] (the) mighty one who will save;
[I] will rejoice over you with gladness;
[I] will quiet you by [my] love;
[I] will exult over you with loud singing.
Zephaniah 3:17 *[emphasis, mine]*
How comforting to know that my Lord and King..the Creator of this Universe..sings over me! Well, I must say, this was the first time I had ever sang to Him before falling asleep at night, and I hope it blessed my Heavenly Father's heart.
I had another PET scan at the end of August and there is a spot on the upper right lung, but the doctors believe this is just scar tissue that was caused by the radiation..Otherwise it was still clear!
Going back to church has been wonderful! I've been staying busy with going to the women's Bible study once a week, and then attending Sunday service also.
I've been visiting friends and enjoying my dogs all summer.
Last week a bad wind storm and confirmed tornadoes caused a lot of damage in our area. Jeff took me for a drive yesterday to see some of the worst of it.. My jaw dropped!
I am trying to decide whether to fix my camera or maybe get a new iphone in order to take pictures again..I can't decide.
We had a lot of trees cut down in our front yard recently (before the storms)..so things look very different out there. We also built a new porch on the front but need to finish up planning what to do with the area where a grouping of large maple trees which I had named 'The Four Brothers' used to be.

This was so uplifting!
Thanks for dropping by, sandi..How have you been?
Hi Lisa,
Praise our lovely Lord for the good things that are happening in your life - all is possible with God and there is only One winner when we 'trust'. I sing around the house and when driving in the car all the time. I am going through a trial at this moment but the Word of the Lord is being given to me daily and what comes regularly to my mind is 'Take every thought captive and bring it into obedience to the Lord.'
2 Corinthians ch. 10 vs. 4-6.
We shall all continue to say 'I will love Thee O Lord my strength'.
God bless you with good health and healing Lisa.
Hi dear Lisa, what a happy post. Am so glad you were able to sleep well after all. The song is playing while I write these words. This is my first time to hear this version, it's beautiful! Praising God for you. Keep spreading the joy you have in your heart.
Hi Brenda,
That scripture is a powerful one and a good tool to have since a lot goes on inside our heads each day. I will pray for the trial you are facing, and I have full confidence that our Lord is working things out for your good today~In Jesus~Amen! I have had to come to terms with the way my own mind wants to drift into the what if's of the future..especially when I must face a scan every few months..I know that living from scan to scan is no way to live, so I asked Jesus to carry this for me..and as a result I am actually able to forget (at least for a while) that I am even dealing with this disease! Believe me, this is a miracle! My word for this year has been 'TRUST'..and this was/is something I really needed to learn to do more.
Thank you so much for your comment, and for your encouragement..~God bless you too, my friend
Hi Lidia,
I'm so glad you enjoyed the song!
Thank you for the encouragement, I will try to keep the joy flowing..I also pray you and your family are healing well and ready for whatever our Lord has for your continued blessings.
((hugs))
God Bless~Lisa
Lisa,
I have come through the trial praise our lovely Lord. He showed me through various amazing things that He was going to heal me from what I have being going through for a few weeks. (I may put this testimony up as a post). When I asked a blogger to pray for me and he said he had - all the pain that had tried to stop me from walking just disappeared ).
There is a time for everything, even to be healed, and the Lord knows the time and the way. All we have to do is trust. I only noticed a few months ago, even though I have had my computer for years, that the speakers have the word 'Trust' written on them. How amazing is that!
God bless you Lisa, we shall trust in the Lord for all Gods' promises which are 'Yes' in Jesus. His thoughts are for our welfare, and not to harm us. The enemy is a liar and a thief.
Brenda,
"And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." Isaiah 65:25
Praising The Lord with you!
How are you now, dear friend? How are your days?
